Experts recommend against using home remedies, such as X-rays or regular sunglasses, as these can cause irreversible eye damage.

Residents of rural areas in Soria will receive free, certified eclipse glasses to view the August 12th solar eclipse. The Provincial Council will provide these glasses to the more than 49,000 registered residents of these villages so they can observe the eclipse safely. "We are mistaken if we think we can look at the sky with just any equipment that isn't suitable."
